... AN UNPRODUCTIVE DAY! I woke up way too late this afternoon. I went to bed around 12am, then woke up at 4 and stayed awake until around 9:30am then fell back asleep until almost 2pm, so now I feel super lazy and I don't have much daylight left before night falls and I'm not comfortable navigating these streets in the daytime let alone in the dark! Tomorrow though I plan on going for a walk to a couple shops so that should be fun. I feel incredibly awkward if I whip out my camera though in the streets, I personally hate looking like a tourist and if I'm alone taking snapshots of mundane things I find exciting I just feel real out of place. I'm going to force Erin to go for a walk with me on Friday and then I'll take pictures of everything! Right now though, I just took some pictures of my room and somethings people who know me know I adore.
First off...
| Gratuitous cat shot! |
| Ok, last one!... I miss my cat. |
| My Dresser |
| The flags! |
| My massive bed |
| Nothing special - just giving you a full picture of the room |
| Another dresser, and the heater, and the only window that faces an enclosed courtyard which is only accessible through this window, but I can't actually open the window. |
| My closet! |
| Creeped a shot outside the window in the living room! That black bin is where people would put their garbage, that's the setts road and uneven sidewalk, and across the street is a very convenient corner store! |
| My Dutch Blitz reign continues! Muhahaha |
| Some sweet-tasting Whiskey |
| Haven't tried this one but I liked the name and the case, so there ya go! |
| More whiskey - I had the far right, a peaty whiskey which was too smokey for me. |
| DO YOU SEE HOW CHEAP CHEESE IS?! Seriously I had a mini heart attack when I saw this glory. |
| 75p for a tub of cream cheese!! |
| Thought I'd incorporate my other trip into this one in someway, so here's a really delicious chardonnay from Argentina. |
The best yogurt ever.
I've never been so pleased with a yogurt in my life! |
So clearly all the food shots were unnecessary but they excite me the most so thought I'd share! I anticipate many more food shots so you've been warned.
Anyway I'm just sitting in our living room now typing away on this laptop and listening and singing to music while periodically shivering to restore heat to my body. I hope for more exciting events tomorrow!
Love
Haha, I don't think the food pics were unnecessary... If I've learned anything working with Mandy in HO dept, it would be to appreciate food descriptions + pictures. ;) --V
ReplyDeletep.s. Yeah FAIRTRADE chardonnay!
Yay! Appreciation for my food pics! And yea I selected it because it was from Argentina, but also because it was Fairtrade. They've got so many fairtrade things here, it's very common in every store to recycle plastic bags - they actually expect you to have your own bags in most places, and a lot the food is organic or locally (United Kingdom) grown and harvested. It's really great!
ReplyDeleteHey Aria, you found my fave yogurt. It's thick like Greek yogurt but has some great flavors.
ReplyDeleteDo they have Sainsburys grocery store in Edinburgh? Can't remember if they are only in England.
I could spend hours in the food shops overseas so I appreciate your blog!
xoxo,
Auntie Sandi
Auntie Sandi!
ReplyDeleteThey do have a Sainsburys - I was just going to check it out this week sometime. I love that you share my appreciation for food shops! I hope to see many more over here.
Love,
Aria
