Erin has played her last match of the season this afternoon which Kurt and I went to.
Kurt leaves for vancity on Tuesday! WHAAAAT?! Crazy, then Erin leaves 13 July.
Then I leave 18 July for Barcelona! I've got a new flatmate from 1 August to 14 cause she's playing in the festival and needs somewhere to crash. Then Kurt and Erin come home 17 August.
Well, what has been going on... I am finding friends which is good, through my work. I've been out now numerous times with usually the same people and it has been really encouraging. It's hard to not have anyone you know really well, and knows you really well. But I've found some great people and so things have been looking up.
Working 9-5 still with an amazing boss and some crazy office politics that usually keeps the discussions at lunch in full swing. I enjoy sitting with my coworkers at lunch, they've got that dry humour I've grown to love... not to mention pick-up on myself! Sarcasm is becoming more evident to me haha.
I am counting the days until Barcelona so there's nothing else exciting going on. Really, at this point, I'm just living life. Trying to really settle myself, I've still got a year and a half here so I want this to be my home and not just a spontaneous bump in my life. Who knows, I could end up here in the future for good. Keeping my options open!
I of course wish that everyone who I love and care about could come and visit me but that's not really feasible since it is a good chunk of money to travel so I appreciate the emails! Also, I just can't get on top of emailing people back. I just am terrible, no excuse. If we could all just tweet, that would be lovely because it is short and sweet BUT I really value emails because of the time and thought that goes in and since I do have tomorrow AND Tuesday off... I shall respond. To emails that is.
Hmm, I am going to a concert for a girl we know - Hannah, and Phil is playing too so should be good.
I am probably going to the Isle of Bute with Erin and some other girls and do a cycle along the coast then stay in a cute B&B for the night.
Erin and I are going to Afternoon Tea with some other ladies for a steal (Thanks Groupon!).
I am looking to get some more artwork done in August, so pics from that should be up sometime in September.
Not much else really. Tomorrow I'm going to get some errands done since I've been putting them off. I also am looking to come home in December for xmas BUT this is not for sure since, again, it is expensive and I seem to have a problem saving money... nae bother. If not this Christmas, I'll be seeing you all in Jan 2014 EXCEPT I think something might happen that might keep me overseas for a bit longer. I'm starting to save for random trips - one being eastern europe with a girl from work who has become a good friend of mine. Then after my visa expires, I'm thinking of taking a month and renting a flat in the south of France and just live there for the month before flying home. This sounds more like a dream but I'm keeping it in mind so I can actually save some money to do things should living in France not work out.
What else?
Still walking 5.2 miles to and from work everyday - I must say my legs have been shaped nicely :) Weehooo! Little to no effort working out is fine with me!
Really, that is about it. Lazy days watching football, working and hanging out with colleagues, and planning for future adventures.
